Parallel parking is one of the most challenging maneuvers for new drivers. It can be difficult to judge the distance between your car and the curb, and it's easy to hit the curb if you're not careful.

But with the right instruction, parallel parking can be easy. In this driving lesson, we'll provide you with everything you need to know to parallel park with confidence.

Step 1: Find the Right Spot

The first step to parallel parking is finding the right spot. Look for a space that is at least 6 feet longer than your car. The space should also be free of obstacles, such as other cars, trees, or poles.

Step 2: Position Your Car

Once you've found the right spot, position your car parallel to the curb. Your car should be about 2 feet away from the curb.

Step 3: Turn Your Wheels

Next, turn your wheels to the right. The amount you turn your wheels will depend on the angle of the curb. If the curb is at a sharp angle, you'll need to turn your wheels more.

Step 4: Reverse Slowly

Now, slowly reverse your car into the space. As you reverse, keep your wheels turned to the right.

Step 5: Straighten Your Wheels

Once your car is about halfway into the space, straighten your wheels.

Step 6: Reverse the Rest of the Way

Now, reverse the rest of the way into the space. Be careful not to hit the curb.

Step 7: Get Out of the Space

To get out of a parallel parking space, simply follow these steps in reverse:

1. Turn your wheels to the left. 2. Slowly pull forward. 3. Straighten your wheels. 4. Pull out of the space.

Parallel parking can be easy with the right instruction. By following the steps outlined in this driving lesson, you'll be able to parallel park with confidence.

So what are you waiting for? Practice parallel parking today!
