About the Author

Richard Powers is the author of twelve novels, including The Echo Maker, which won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. His other novels include The Time of Our Singing, Gain, and The Overstory. Powers is a MacArthur Fellow and a Guggenheim Fellow. He lives in Illinois.
