About the Author

Pemba Gyalje Sherpa is a Nepalese mountaineer who has summitted K2 five times. He was one of the survivors of the 2008 K2 disaster.

Greg Child is an American mountaineer and author. He has written several books about mountaineering, including Into Thin Air and Seven Summits.
