He attends a Christmas Eve service in a church in France, where he learns about the tradition of the Christmas carol. And he visits a Christmas party in Mexico, where he learns about the tradition of the piñata.

About the Author

H.A. Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1898. He studied art in Hamburg and Munich before moving to Paris in 1924. In Paris, he met his wife, Margret, and they began working together on children's books. The Reys created the Curious George character in 1941, and the first Curious George book was published in 1941. The Reys wrote and illustrated many Curious George books together, and the books have been translated into more than 30 languages.

H.A. Rey died in 1977, and Margret Rey died in 1996. The Curious George books continue to be popular with children around the world.
