About the Author
Sy Montgomery is a marine biologist and author of more than 30 books for adults and children. Her work has been translated into more than 20 languages and has received numerous awards, including the John Burroughs Medal and the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award. Montgomery is a Fellow of the Explorers Club and a Senior Fellow of the Lindbergh Foundation. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Howard Mansfield, and their two dogs.
